  • Adelene Ruiz, a proud Mexican-American from Richmond, Texas, is a compassionate bilingual mental health clinician with extensive experience supporting diverse populations. As a first-generation professional, she has worked with individuals facing mental health challenges, intellectual and developmental disabilities, substance use disorders, trauma, survivors of domestic and sexual violence, juvenile probation, and foster care youth.

    Adelene earned her Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Texas Southern University and her Master’s degree in Social Work with a specialization in Mental Health and Substance Abuse from the University of Texas at Arlington. She is certified in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), equipping her to provide trauma-focused care, crisis intervention, and holistic psychotherapy. Adelene believes in the power of personalized therapy, tailoring each session to the client’s unique experiences and goals, ensuring their voice guides the healing process.

    Her deep understanding of cultural nuances enables her to offer culturally competent care, helping clients navigate the intersection of culture and mental health.

She has extensive experience working with individuals  experiencing a wide range of issues including anxiety, depression, trauma, substance use, relationship difficulties, learning disabilities and autism spectrum disorder.  Through her work in school systems, community centers, and inpatient substance abuse facilities, Hannah developed a deep understanding of the therapeutic needs of adolescents and adults struggling with relationship ruptures, loss, anxiety, depression, trauma, substance use, and life dissatisfaction.

    Outside of providing a therapeutic space , Hannah enjoys cooking a new recipe, drawing, or trying a new workout class. Her time in Houston has fostered a love for community and exploration of diverse cultures.

    Kisha’s educational journey started at the University of North Texas, where she earned a Bachelor’s in Psychology with a concentration in Applied Behavior Analysis. Kisha then went on to pursued a Master’s in Social Work at the University of Texas at Arlington, graduating in 2016. Her career in mental health began with a focus on adolescents dealing with ADHD, depression, anxiety, suicidal ideation, oppositional defiance, and managing impulses. From there, she transitioned into Medical Social Work where she provided crisis intervention to adults and families.

    Kisha has self-published six journals and workbooks covering a range of topics, including managing strongholds, overcoming negative thoughts, recognizing personal fears and self-sabotaging behaviors, and shifting perspectives on pain, disappointments, and healing. She also created a wellness journal that focuses on reflective questions, building healthy habits around physical activity and nutrition, managing finances, and prioritizing self-care.

  • Alexis is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker specialized in behavioral health. Alexis guides adults and couples through life transitions, grief and loss, breakdowns of trust and communication, trauma, and various behavioral health diagnosis. Alexis prioritizes building and maintaining an alliance with her clients. Alexis utilizes various therapeutic modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy, solution-focused therapy, and trauma focused therapy to further a client’s process in healing.

    Alexis' areas of expertise included but are not limited to trauma, inner-child work, women's mental health, family dynamics and relationships. She is skilled in providing supportive guidance in personality disorders, childhood trauma, grief and loss, life transitions, and behavioral health related disorders such as anxiety, depression and ADHD/ADD.

    Alexis received her Master’s degree from the University of Houston Graduate College of Social Work in 2019. Prior to earning her Master’s in Social Work, Alexis practiced as an inpatient Social Worker at Memorial Hermann Health System where she provided brief crisis counseling to children (ages: 8 to 12 years old), adults, couples and families experiencing homelessness, trauma, and newly diagnosed behavioral health disorders. In 2016, Alexis provided supportive counseling services at Austin Recovery to women experiencing substance abuse. Alexis is dedicated to furthering resources within various socioeconomic communities as she has led the development and implementation of a system-wide, person-centered continuum of care that integrated medical, behavioral health and social services to alleviate barriers in young adults and family’s social determinants of health.

    Alexis currently offers online distance counseling sessions. Distance counseling can be beneficial for those who have barriers that prevent them from attending in-person office appointments.
